Valence, France – Crouzet now offers a complete range of snap action micro-switches that can be fully adapted for automotive applications including those on the carbody, for safety systems, and for interior comfort and convenience.
Crouzet’s V5E sealed sub-miniature switch is currently being installed in sub-assemblies for convertible roofs, electrical parking brakes, lock modules for tailgate/trunk, and tank & hood latch detection. The compact V5E switches are IP67 protected and feature 2mm over-travel with a button angle of attack of 45°, a real advantage when it comes to mechatronic development.
The highly flexible and reliable switch design can be configured with a wide choice of connectors, actuators, and fixing positions making system integration quick and easy. In addition, V5E switches are designed for integration of SMV components between the terminals without increasing the dimensions, creating an ideal interface with all on board electronic in-vehicle architectures.
Crouzet, headquartered in France, has about 1,650 employees with a presence in more than 40 countries. Now known as a specialist brand, Crouzet is focused on added value and customization for integrators and equipment manufacturers and serves markets such as medical, elevators and lifts, food processing, lighting, water treatment, entertainment, plastic injection/extrusion and office equipment. Crouzet brand SSRs are manufactured by Crydom Inc., a subsidiary company of Custom Sensors & Technologies.
