IRVINE, Calif. – BEI Duncan Electronics, a business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) has recently been published in NASA Tech Briefs magazine. The April 2009 issue features a full page article dedicated to BEI Duncan’s steer-by-wire technology which has improved fuel efficiency for the AGCO© Challenger Tractor.
The story discusses BEI Duncan’s triple redundant sensor pack which incorporates three completely independent Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) outputs and gear reduction. The sensor pack is part of the steer-by-wire steering system used in the AGCO© Challenger Tractor.
