MOORPARK, Calif. – Kavlico, an operation of Schneider Electric and a global business unit of Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST)’s pressure sensors have been designed with durability in mind. The harsh construction and agricultural vehicle sectors demand sensors that can not only withstand but also perform reliably and accurately under hostile installation conditions. The rugged assembly of our sensors allows them to perform in this environment day-in and day-out, whether measuring hydraulic fluid pressure or engine oil pressure.
Sensors can be specified with either brass or stainless steel housings, dependent upon application. They require a 5 Vdc power supply and provide a linear amplified output proportional to pressure of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc. Capable of operating in high shock and vibration environments, these sensors have an operating temperature range of -40° to +125°C. Sensors can be specified with a variety of pressure ports; 1/8 NPT and M12 are typical, while electrical connectors such as Packard, DIN, and Deutsch are also common options. These low-profile, low-cost sensors also exhibit excellent EMI/EMC performance.
Standard pressure ranges are from 1 psi to 5,000 psi, and custom ranges are available for OEM quantities. Measurement technologies are either ceramic capacitive or oil-filled PRT (piezo-resistive).
