CST... One Company. Many Respected Brands. For a New Force in Sensor Manufacturing
Custom Sensors & Technologies (CST) represents a
unique collection of brands under one umbrella as a distinct global
business unit of Schneider Electric.
Brought together as a singular business in May of 2006, CST represents
a set of proven products with a long-standing ability to deliver
advanced application-specific solutions across a wide array of sensing
technologies along with control and actuation products. Now, CST offers a single source of supply for these cutting-edge technologies to the Transportation, Industrial, and Aerospace & Defense markets.

MicroGyro Angular Rate Sensor
Designed for
high volume, low cost, and high performance automotive applications,
Systron Donner's MicroGyro Angular Rate Sensors feature inertial
performance with a bias error of less than 1 degree per second over
temperature and lifetime with a sensitivity error of less than 2%. The
MicroGyro is capable of withstanding high temperatures (+125 degrees
C) and has high-vibration condition capability. It is ideal for
Electronic Stability Control (ESC), but also for lane-keeping, rollover
prevention, obstacle detection, event monitoring and other
applications. For more info go to: MicroGyro Info |

| Millenium 3
Logic Controller with Pressure Sensor
The Millenium 3 Pressure - is configured with a pressure sensor and provides solutions to:
Pressure: Monitor the state of
air filters (clogging), display differential pressure, measure
hydraulic pressure on agricultural equipment. Level: Measure levels in
tanks, control the density in processing tanks, remote maintenance of
fluid levels in pumping stations and more. Flow: Calculate the volume used on a watering system, display a flow rate, measure flow in a conduit.
Three Main Functions: Measure,
Display, Monitor - The Millenium 3 pressure solution not only enables
you to measure, display, monitor, but also perform calculations using
the power of the Millenium 3 Logic Controller. And you can also communicate the data from your
applications via the modem and Millenium 3 network extension solutions.
An all-in-one configuration is achieved with 3 components: Logic
Controller, Pressure Sensor & dedicated Software functions. The
Millenium 3 Logic Controller is available in 24 Vdc, compact or
expandable versions. The pressure sensors are compatible with most
neutral fluids and gasses with a measurement range from 0 to 100 bars
and are available for sensing either Absolute or Relative (Gauge)
pressures. The dedicated function blocks (Pressure gain, Flow, Level,
High Level Switch) are included in the specific function library to
ensure product compatibility and gives access to the Millenium 3's easy
programming. For more info go to: Millenium 3 Info |

Aerospace Pressure Sensors Really Measure Up!
Looking to monitor the pressure drop across an engine air filter of a helicopter?
Then Kavlico has the sensor for you!
Kavlico's 1 PSID Differential Pressure sensor
indicates when the filter needs to be replaced by providing a linear
amplified voltage output of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc proportional to
pressure. In fact, Kavlico manufactures a selection of pressure
and combined pressure and temperature sensors for such aerospace
applications as: Turbine Inlet Pressure, Hydraulic System Health
Monitoring, and High-pressure Hydraulic Actuator Measurements. The high
accuracy, high repeatability sensors are available in pressure from 1"
H20 to 10,000 PSI For more info go to: Aerospace Pressure Sensors Info | |

Logic Puzzle for October...
Can you solve this???
Let's
just say... that two Airbus A380s, utilizing CST sensors, take off at
the same exact moment. They are each flying across the Atlantic Ocean.
One leaves New York and is flying to Paris at 500 miles per hour. The
other leaves Paris and is flying to New York at only 450 miles per hour
(because of a strong head wind). Which one will be closer to Paris when
they meet?
----- Answer can be found at bottom of Newsletter...
